Karsten R. Stueber

 

Karsten R. Stueber is a Professor of Philosophy at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. He is working at the intersection of the philosophy of mind, the philosophy of the social sciences, and metaethics. He is particularly known for his work on empathy. Among others, he is the author of Rediscovering Empathy: Agency, Folk Psychology, and the Human Sciences (MIT 2006; Italian translation: L’empatia (Il Mulino, 2010)) and co-editor of a variety of anthologies. Currently, he is finishing a new book addressing the question of how and whether empathy can be regarded as a foundation of human morality.
