Sofia Elisabetta Walters is currently a PhD student in Philosophy at the Scuola Normale Superiore (Pisa, Italy), under the supervision of Prof. Mario Piazza. She was educated at the University of Pisa (Bachelor’s and Master’s) and at the Scuola Normale Superiore (II Level University Master), where she specialised in ecological and interactionist perspectives on the study of reasoning. Her research focuses on the epistemological notion of understanding, with a keen interdisciplinary interest in the topics of cognitive transmission and transparency, collective and distributed reasoning and artificial understanding.
